Application has been made for an originating summons asking the Court to make a declaratory order in the case of Kirkcaldie and Knight versus the Bank of New Zealand, concerning the rights and powers of the shareholders to increase the Bank’s capital by the issue of' new shares, and what restrictions or conditions are imposed in such a case by various legislation relating to the Bank. Four judges will hear the a plication on August 8.
