BRITAIN’S AIR FLEET.

It is stated that the Government has decided to encircle the coast with aeroplane stations, 50 to 100 miles apart, owing to their success in detecting submarine njanoouvres.
The House of Commons discussed tho Army and Navy vote. The chief topic was tho insufficiency of aeroplanes. Mr G. Sandys detailed his and Mr Joynson-Tlicks’s investigations. Ho found that only 44 aeroplanes were available for war. He declared that Colonel Seely’s total of’ 120 machines was only reached by including machines impairing, and monoplanes, which were not used as they were dangerous. Colonel Seely explained that normally 40 per cent, were under repair. Ho stated that 00 aeroplanes in order at the Central Flying School had flown over 100,000 miles without senna-; accident.
