PADDON CHALLENGES BARRY

THE OPPONENTS INTERVIEWED
London, July 23
Interviewed, Barry said he relied on the same old tactics. He let his opponent cut out the pace to Hammersmith and then begin rowing. Pearce was faster than Arnst.
Pearce, interviewed, said that he did not want an excuse, but both arms were cramped when he was leading by four lengths. He was unable to hold his sculls. His arms were jarred in the rough water when rowing last week.

Gloucester beat Yorkshire by two rune. Jessop scored G 7 and 40, bowled four wickets, and caught two in the first innings.
