A Bill is to be introduced in the New - South Wales Parliament to borrow £3,000,000 for railway duplication and rolling stock. One bank is providing half a million. Mr Gann does not anticipate trouble in getting the balance.

The State Parliament opens to-day. The Governor’s Speech is practically covered by Mr Holman’s recent policy deliverance.
A PREMIER’S OPTIMISM
Melbourne, July 22
Mr Watt, referring to las jecent visit to England, said nothing would load him to the belief that the London market was shut against Australia. When the present congestion was relieved, Australia could pursue a borrowing policy with perfect confidence. The Commonwealth' credit was equal to what it had been at its very best.
