WEATHER FORECAST.
«. The Government Meteorologist (Ke\ 1). C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : Westerly strong winds to gale prevailing and freshening. Expect dull weather with ranch mist and fog in parts, and heavy rain with river? rising shortly. Barometer falling, but rising alter about 36 hours;.
The Poultry Show was brought to a conclusion last night, when the attendance of the public was again good. The art union, the prized for which were gold nuggets, was drawn under the supervision of the Mayor (Mi- W . !\ Kirkwood) and in the presence of Sergeant McNeely. Messrs T. I. Lamason and R. Dingle acted as scrutineers. The winning numbers were 310 and 660, Mr H. Masters holding the first ticket. Jn this issue the secretary notifies that the holder of ticket number 666 can obtain his nugget on application. Altogether six hundred persons visited the Show jesterday.
