TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

THE WINTER SHOW. Entries in very satisfactorily for the Winter Show, which will be held in the Coronation Hall from June 11th to 14th, inclusive. For instance, twenty-four entries have been received for the swede competition, in which a £lO 10s gold watch or £lO 10s cash for the best two acres of swedes is offered. Each competitor is to placo on exhibition at the Show three of the swedes grown on the two acres. Last year sixteen entries were received. Mrs E. A. Walker has donated a guinea to the Winter Show prize fund, and the Conimitteo will allot this sum to their prizo list when the next meeting is held. Another donation is 1001 b. of flour as a special prize to the cooking class, which has the greatest number of entries. All entries for the Show close on Saturday next.
