FOOTBALL.
SENIORS. TULKAPA (6)T~CLIFTON (0). The match betwen Tukapa and Clifton at Western Park, New Plymouth, yesterday afternoon could scarcely be called interesting. Tukapa registered their points before ' halftime, playing with the wind at their backs. Stohr was evidently in fine form, as he scored all the points by landing two.splendid goals both from near the half-way line.. His first attempt 1 from a mark by Brown was unsuccessful, but the second from a free kick was magnificently judged, and the first points were registered. Shortly before half time, he had his third attempt from a mark by McAllum, and was a second time successful..—Tukapa 6, Clifton 0. It was expected that Clifton would
"do things" in tho second spell with the wind behind them. They commenced with a strong attack, but off-sido play brought tho game back to half way. Until near the end, Tukapa again had the best of it, and were nearly scoring several times. However, neither side could cross tho other's line. The whistle blew with Clifton attacking. Mr F. Spurdle was referee. ELTHAM v. STRATFORD. Eltham forfeited to Stratford. FIRST JUNIORS. CLIFTON (9) v. STRATFORD (8). In this match each team scored all their points in a spell.
