CEASES TO EXIST. The annual meeting of the Toko /Branch of the Farmers’ Union was held on Monday night, when there nyas a very , good attendance. The balance-sheet was read and adopted, there being a balance to credit of £l3 12s sd. Smith and , Harry Hobbs for the capable manner.* dn which they carried out their' duties as. judges in the calves competition. The secretary reported that there were fourteen entries for the turnip growing competition, and five for the mangolds, and_it was that acceptances close on 30th April. Mr Maxwell moved that from the end of last financial year, 31st March, 1913, the Toko Farmers’ Union as at present constituted'chase tb Ij ot%t. —Seconded by Mr Leep , and s [paagied unanimously. S ■■■ bejiu Mr Pearce moved that a public mooting be called bit Monday, 12th May, to discuss the advisability of forming a Farmers’ Association in Toko, the convenors to be Messrs Were, Lees, and Jones.—Seconded by Mr Fincham and carried. The following gentlemen were appointed as Provisional Committee to make inquiries, etc The chairman, secretary, Messrs Pearce, Gernhbofer, Fincham, Lees, and Cleary, the committee to meet on Wednesday, 30th April. Mr Taki (Moana) promised £2 2s towards the funds of the new association. #
