Strong speeches were made complaining of the subserviency of Labor members of the House of Commons to political parties. A resolution urging a vote on the merits of the question though the Government be endangered, was negatived. TARANAKI BAKERS’ UNION.

The Taranaki journeymen bakers and pastrycooks unanimously decided to form a Bakens’ and Pastrycooks’ Union % to cover the Taranaki district.
