WEBSTER, DOBSON AND CO.’S STOCK REPORT. On Thursday last we held a sheep fair at Tahora, in yards kindly lent by W. L. Kennedy, Esq. Owing to wet weather, several vendors did not yard; but notwithstanding we had a fair yarding of good class sheep. There was a fair attendance. Competition at the hammer was patchy 7, several pens being passed; but with exception of two small pens of wethers, everything :was sold afterwards.’ We quote:—Lambs 9s lOd, 2-tooth ewes 14s lOd, 2-tootu wethers 13s 8d to 14s, f.m. ewes 8s Gd to 10s, cull do. 6s to 6s Gd, 2-tooth Romney rams 31 to 4 guineas, aged rams 10s 6d to 355. At Strathmore on Monday we held our annual sheep fair. There was a large attendance and a good yarding of sheep. Competition was good, and almost every pen was sold at the hammer. We cleared the whole yarding with the exception of a small 'ino of 6-tooth ewes. We quote: Wether lambs 8s 2d, mixed lambs 8s 3d to 10s 2d, 2-tooth owes, small, 12s 4d, 4, G, and f.m. ewes 8s 9d to 9s 4d, f.m. owes 7s 3d to 8s 9d, cull do. 5s to 6s Gd, 2-tooth Romney rams 2.) to 3 guineas, aged rams 1 to 1) guineas, cull do. ss. At Stratford on Tuesday 7 we held our usual fortnightly sale. The yarding was good, chiefly store and freshconditioned cows. Competition was on the slack side. Wo quote: Wearers 23s‘to 31s, 18-month steers £2 17s 6d to £3 11s 6d, 2 to 21-year steers £4 9s, 18-month heifers in calf £3 1 Is to £4 2s, fat cows £5 5s to £5 10s, forward cows £4 4s 6d to £4 12s Gd, fresh do. £3 10s to £4, store do. 40s to 655, bulls £3 15s to £6 12s.
