STRATFORD V. INGLEWOOD, j Stratford defeated Inglewood | on the town courts somewhat easily |by 196 to 101. in the men’s singles I both Anderson and Curtis won the I love games, and none of the Strat- | ford players lost either in the sin- | gles nr the doubles. Inglewood, however. had four successes in the ladies’ singles. A most enjoyable afternoon was spent, and afternoon tea was provided hy the Stratford lad--138. The following are the scores, Stratford players being mentioned first in each instance:— MEN’S SINGLES. Anderson beat Sutherland, 12—0; Crawahaw beat Thomson, 12—6; Fussed beat Moody, 12—5; Curtis heat Patterson, 12—0; Thompson beat R. Sutherland, 12—2; Wilson beat Drake, 9—-3; Marshall "teat Hislop,, 12—6; Wright beat Drake, 12—5. LADIES’ SINGLES. Mrs Robinson lost to Mrs Matthews, I—7; Mrs Budge lest to Miss Hamerton, 5—7; Miss Mackey lost to Miss Airey, 5—7; Miss D. Mackay heat Mrs Dixon, 7—l; Miss 1). Mackay heat Miss M. R. Curtis, 7—6; Miss M. Mackay lost to Miss M. Curtis, 5—7. . MEN’S DOUBLES.
