NEW ZEALANDERS HONORED. (Received 11.25 a.m.) London, February S. Tho New Zealand-born o'beers ami men on the battleship New Zealand were presented to tho King. HIS MAJESTY ON BOARD. _ EXPRESSES HIS GRATIFICATION (Received 9.50 a.m.) London, February 5. Admirals Meux and Heath received King George on the battleship New Zealand. Others present included the Hon. Thomas Mackenzie, Sir Joseph Ward, the Hon. James Allen, .Mi Winston Churchill (First Lord of the Admiralty), Hon. L. Harcourt (Secrc tary of State for the Colonies), Mr 1' McNamara, M.P., Mr Jellicoe, cx-Nev Zealander, and Prince Louis of Battenbnrg. The King devoted over an hour tc a general tour, and eras particularly interested in the barbette, where tin crew operated 12-inch guns. He wa; also interested in the gyroscope coinpass and was greatly amused at tin decorations of the gunroom, which was somewhat resembling a lady’s boudoir. Before leaving, the King was photographed amidst the New Zealand’s officers. He expressed to Captain Halsey his gratification, and wished the officers an enjoyable voyage.. “NO LIEN ON THE SHIP.” (Received 8.40 a.m.) London, February 5. The Graphic says: “New Zealand’s proper place is as a unit of the Pacific Fleet, and she has not a standing lien on the ship, which ought tt have been built by the Home Govern mfent.”
