SIR J. G. WARD ON OUR FINANCE. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) (Received 9.0 a.m.) London, January 23. Sir Joseph Ward, in a report of an interview with the ‘Financial News, says that the Dominion’s financial position is thoroughly sound. The overwhelming bulk of the public debt is mvested in reproductive work, and New Zealand offers the surest ground in the world for the investment of capital.
