AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. “The Little Keeper of the Light,” a splendid lighthouse story, is being featured at His Majesty’s Tneatre this evening. Among the other films, “Tested by Wireless” is sure to arouse interest. A detective receives warning by wire of the presence in Ins city of a well-known female thief, whom he is instructed to jfollow carefully. The detective discovers a lady at the hotel named in the wire, and identifies her as the adventurer he is in search of. He follows her, but; is too late to prevent her securing a passage on a liner about to leave the dock. The boat having sailed, he has recourse to “wireless” and sends a message to the captain of the vessel, instructing him to arrest the lady. The captain has, it happens, become very much attached to the lady in question, and the message is handed to him on the bridge of the vessel, as lie is declaring his love for her.. He shows her the message, and she replies, “I am she, but for the sake of our love you must save me.” Not without a struggle, the officer agrees to shield her and allow her to go free. Very little time has passed before another message is handed to the captain. It states that a mistake has been made, the real thief has been captured, and that the lady on board is innocent. The captainoverjoyed, turns to his fiancee and asks her the meaning of her confession ,and the reply is that she used the mistaken message to test the depth of his affection, and that he has successfully passed the test. A topical film, phowing the Vanniman Airship disaster, is another picture of unusual interest.
