An analysis of the lead which was made a substitute for the Alexandria gold consignment, shows that it wasj ordinary English lead, thus suggesting that the theft was committed in England. CALLOUS MURDER BY A POLE. (Received 10.25 a.m.) Berlin, January 9. A Polish stable hand named Bucko.v murdered a farmer, his wife,, and a servant girl, and nailed up the house to prevent the two daughters escaping. The police arrived when Bupkow was burning the bodies in a haystack. Buckow escaped.
