Newton King’s Weekly Report. On Friday, 6th instant, at the Waiwakaiho yards there was a small entry which sold as follows: 10-montli heifers up to £4 4s, coloured yearling steers £i 19s to £2 7s 6d, empty 2,year heifers £4 3s to £4 19s, bulls £-> 5s to £2 6s, fat cows £5 13s to £o lbs 6d, forward cows £4 4s to £4 fos, ( store cows £3 7s 6d to £3 17s, splurging heifers up to £7 ,dairy cows up to £7 2s Gd. , At Urenui on Monday, 9th, there was a fair entry but a small attendance. Bidding throughout was not very keen but most of the yai cling was disposed of during the day as follows : 15-months heifers £3 4s bd to £3 8s 6cl, very mioice 15-months Jerseys £5 7s, 15-month steers £3 os to £3 6s, 24-year steers, coloured, £3 18s to’£4, store cows from £3 10s to £4 16s, fat cows from £5 to £6, bubs up to £5 9s, springing heifers £o los to £7 12s 6d, small £4 lbs to £4 los, ■dairy cows £6 15s to £7 ss, mixed ewes and lambs 17s 6d, mixed ewes and wethers 17s 7d. - At Douglas on the same day 10-mtii steers sold at from £2 15s to „3 os 6rl dairv 24 year heifers £4 2s to £4 ss,’ 15-mths he iters £3 ss, 2-year steers £4 4s fat cows £5 os to £o Ids be , forward cows £4 2s to £4 12s, small store cows £2 lbs to £3 14s, springing heifers £5 12s bd to £7 Pis bd. On Tuesday, 10th instant, there w.ss a fair yarding in the Strut lord yards with a fairly representative attendance of buyers. Owing to shearmo- operations in the back country nomany attended from those parts. Bidding'opened very slowly but improved considerably during the sale, and, with a few exceptions, a very good clearance was made. A big number ot bulls were yarded and sold very readily. Store and forward cows met with very keen competition; very tew springers were yarded. Prices realised were as follows: Bulls from £2 14s Gel to £6 10s according to weight and quality, 15-mths heifers from £3 os to £3, 16s, small store cows £2 os to £3 4s, forward cows £3 19s to £5 Is fat cows £5 5s to £6, empty 2|yr coloured heifers £5 Hs, grades £3 Ids 6d to £4 5s 6d,'24-yr steers (good) £5 Jerseys £3 12s, springing heifers £o 10s to £5 17s 6d, fat and forward wethers los 9d. At Stony River on Wednesday 11th there was a small entry with a good attendance. Competition was not brisk but most of the lines were cleared as follows: 15-mths steers £2 15s to £3 2s, small and bad coloured £1 7s 6d to £2 2s 6d, 15-months grade Jersey heifers £3 los Gel to £4 3s, grades £2 10s to £3, 2-year empty heifers £4 to £4 ss, fat cows £5 Is to £5 12s, forward cows £3 19s 6d to £4 13s 6d, small .store cows £2 17s 6d to £3 9s, bulls £2 17s to £6, cows and calves £4. 6s 6d, springing heifers £4 5s to £5 12s 6d, springing cows up to £7 12s Gd.
