SHOP BUTCHERS’ UNION. (Received 9.30 a.in.) Sydney, December 13. The Shop Butchers’ Union has decided to give the legal week’s not.ce. but the members will not be open foi re-engagement except on the understanding that the shops close at six o’clock on Saturdays. A harrier to the argument with the master butchers is the existence of small shops without employees; if these refuse early closing, probably the slaughtermen wil. take action to prevent these receiving supplies.
