At Dunedin the Hon. Jas. Allen gives an emphatic denial to the report that he abstained from speaking; on Defence at Lawrence on account ofj medical advice, and that he must gol slow. He declares that lie was never in better health, and says he has not seen any medico in his southern tour. Mr Allen left for Wellington to-day. THE NEW GOVERNOR. (Per Press' Association.) Auckland, December 10. The Mayor has received information that Lord Liverpool arrives at Auckland by the Mahva on December I.Bth and leaves the same night for Wellington.
