WILFUL MURDER.

OF INFANT 10 WEEKS’ OLE

(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, December 9

An inquest was held this morning on the infant’s remains found deposited on the unclaimed land by the suction dredge on the 2nd inst. It was shown according to the medical evidence that the child was fully developed, and had been horn alive and had met its death by violence. The Coroner, Mr. Graham, returned a verdict of “Wilful murder against some person or persons unknown,” and instructed the police to make enquiries. It appears that the child was horn about ten weeks ago, and that the mothei nas a fully developed woman.
