PRINCE GUSTAV DIKRAN.

A LETTER FROM BEIRUT. Melbourne, November 27. Interest in the Albanian, Prince Dikran, who recently toured Australia and New Zealand, has been revived through the receipt of a letter by Dr. Bennett, of Hamilton, from the President of the Syrian Protestant College at Beirut, who had been applied to for information on the subject. The President, Dr. Beiss, in the course of his letter, writes; —“I am afraid Prince Gustav Dikran, of Albania, has given a false impression in reference to his connection .with our institution. We have no sucli name cn the list of our graduates, and 1 know of no such work as lie is said to be undertaking in Beirut, f heard of such an individual a. few weeks ago. (The letter is dated October 29.) “In an enquiry I had from Australia, ac cording to the letter which I received this man seemed to have been collecting money for a hospital in Scutari.
