‘Perth, November 22. Advic'os from Jjoiiclon, dated October 25, state that aboard a Great Western Railway, tender, at Plymouth, a bank draft was ’found for £40,000, payable at sight to Charles Harconrt at Sydney, issued in London, in August, by the Rank of New South Wales, ft was found after the tender bad been used to land American passengers from the Oceanic. There was no passenger named Harconrt, and the loss was not reported. ; Sydney, November 22. Referring to a Perth message the officials of the Rank of New South Wales are of opinion that it is a hoax. No draft for £IO,OOO has been issued to anybody named Harconrt, and it j, 3 unlikely that such a draft would be unclaimed.
