AMUSEMENTS.
HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. Good houses continue to lie the rule at Bernard’s Picture theatre, and tho current series is receiving a great roception. “The Gmi ,J has achieved popularity, and “The Runaway is voted, a very amusing picture. Another Amhrosio startling animal picture is billed for Monday’s change. The feature of this new masterpiece is the releasing in full view of the audience of a score of full grown lions on the deck of a burning ship. Since “The Slave of Carthage,” the previous record holder, nothing quite so daring has been offered to the public, as this subject, in which the wild animals come'to the rescue of the hero and heroine, menaced by a mutinous crew. The story is thrilling in the extreme, and the film is one of the most powerful dramas ever produced here. “Pictorial Corsica,” “Indian n-rl the Child.” “Suit cf Armour, ’ “Wanted a. Baby,” “Alkali Ikes Best Br'-ncr'i'i Bill,” 'His Vounger Brot ier,” “Ganmont Graphic,” “Tho New P-vsicrn ” and “A Close Call,” arc other pictures in tho series. They sound an excellent lot, and on tne white sheet are certain to come out v-;,!tiers. Patrons should not n iss the “Ship of Lions;” sensational, thrilling, dramatic, it is the picture of the year.
