AN ISLAND OF VOLCANOES.
(Received 9.25 a .in A Sydney, October 31. The Sofia lias arrived and brines nows of an extraordinary volcanic disturbance at Niuafou. Thirty volcanoes are erupting in this island simultaneously, and the topography is being altered thereby. An inland lake dropped two feet below normal. One side of the Island lias risen three feet.
