At Porbaoown Hr Frederick Smith said that even if the Government had the wickedness they were wholly lacking in nerve to order the army to coerce Ulster. Supposing the Government gave the/ order, the population would lynch them at the lamp posts. The Chronicle protests against Ulstermen playing the National Anthem and providing a guard of honour to S;r Edward Carson, whom the■ Chronicle nicknames “King Edward VIII.”
