ON WANGANUI TRACKS. ■| (Per Press Association.) \ Wanganui, September 25. Heavy rain foil through the night, ; and severe squalls' prevailed this i morning. The tracks are very Heavy, i and fast times aro impossible. Ron Rove and Uxonhopo went round the track, sprinting home. Winning Way and Brown Owl did a fast mile. j Altcar ran fastest over nvo furlongs, doing the distance in Imin 5 see, I)at was a bit soro after. Oakum covered six furlongs very attractively. . Bollin, Lockwood, Vocation, Distinction, Mallard, Prosper, Our King, Multiply, and a .number of others did useful work. Hawick did soum] work over the Hurdles, jumping well. . Darby Paul and Hollicr jumped throe hurdles, the former pleasing,the touts. ‘ , Sandy Paul did a solid two rounds. Mangaroa was .scratched for the Spring Handicap. AVONDALE RACES. Auckland, September 25. Henderson Handicap.—Apollon 1, Monorail 2, Solitude 3. Time 51 2-5 see. A great race, won by half a head. Maiden Plate.—Tragedy King 1, Haku 2, Spilfish 3. Scratched: Kaween, Poboa, Opposition, Wairihi, Rose, Miss Lovelia. Won by two lengths. Time, imin 22sec. Avondale Stakes.—Merry Roe 1, The Hague 2, King Lupin 3. Won by a length.
