ALLEGED STEALING OF STATUTES

ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL (Per Press -Association.) Wellington, September 17. Charles Clements Fish, messenger in the Parliamentary Library, appeared in Court to-day to answer 30 charges of theft of copies of New Zealand Consolidated Statutes, the property of the Government. The alleged offences extended over a period from 1009 until last month. The value of the volumes said to have been stolen is estimated at about £2OO. Accused pleaded guilty and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
