The patrons applauded to the ; echo oucjh picture snovvn, notably.the drama “A Beast a. Bay,” wliicii is undouotedly tno mos. thrilling and realistic film yet seen hero, imagine a whole railway system being held up in order that an express engine may be chartered to pursue a Hying automobile, and you will gain some idea of the hair-raising intensity of this picture. Closely following tins A.B. feature is a Vitagraph Jite portrayal, “The Telephone Girl.” The thrilling experience of a telephone gin who sticks to her post in a burning building until everybody gets cut safe ly, is hue. Other dramatic studies ai\.
“Home Folks,” another A.B. feature and a modern and thoroughly origina picture play by the Kalem players
“The Banker’s Daughter.” A film of striking interest is included, entitled
“l.he Motor Bandits,” dealing witn the last days and death of this notorious band of Parisian criminals. “Fain ous Rivers” is a remarkably good scenic film. This programme will Ik repeated to-night and Wednesday foi the last time. Saturday afternoon, tin last of the matinee will take place, un less a better attendance continues. Considering the educational value of the pictures, parents would be wis<. to give their children a treat.
