CRICKET.
(Received 10.0 a.m.) Sydney, September If). It is estimated that the cricketers' dividend over the English tour will be €l9O to £2OO each. The Herald, commenting on the tour said it was more than disappointing. Rain spoilt the tour, and it was hard to imagine, judging from the tests that the Australians had nothing to regret. Their prestige had not been lowered. In the lesser games, the records wwe not so good. The, batting was somewhat disappointing and the fielding was not brilliant. As expected the bowling was not very convincing. The wicket keeping was of a low standard.
The Telegraph says the colts did not fulfil expectations; still in tests they did remarkably well. Probably, if proved players had gone, England would still have won the triangular supremacy because no great bowler was left behind that the Australian;-'-had need of.
