MR. C. A. WILKINSON'S CAMPAIGN.

The Government candidate, Mr. 0. A. Wilkinson, visited Omoana on Saturday, and addressed a representative gathering at Messrs. Johnston and (leader's homestead. On the motion of Messrs. J. Red and C. Sproull, a vote of hearty thanks to the candidate for his address and of confidence in the Reform Party Avas carried. Mr. J. Cooker presided. Later in the evening there was a good attendance at the Mangamingi flail, and the candidate's address seemer to meet with full approval. When introducing the candidate, Mr. Granville (chairman) remarked that he first met Mr. Wilkinson twenty years ago, and since that time had always found him punctual, attentive and faithful to anything he took in hand, and instanced particularly Mr. Wilkinson's services on the Harbour Board. On the motion of Messrs. A. Boddie and R. S. Brown, a hearty vote of thanks was jj;ivcmi Mr. Wilkinson for his address.
