FLOWER QUEEN'S COURT.
Tin- special entertainment organised I, v Captain Nicholson, officer in charge of the Salvation Arm,\ at Stratford, took place las! night, and proved most successful. The Hall was tastefully decorated, and with flic pretty costumes of those taking part, the effect was charming. By spoc ; al request, as Hi-: 1 had weitther prevented so man-, people who would like to have boon present attending, the cantata is to in repeated to-morrow evening, with a. rev.- first-part programme, ivhich latter las! night consisted of vocal and elocutionary items, and was vary well lax! red. those taking pari being the Misses Green (2), Barry (2), and Robinson, Lieutenant Baldwin, BrotheT F.lford, and Muster R. Barry. Tlien fallowed the "Flower Queen's Court." and each part was well sustained. "The Queen" was Miss Ewens, with six page bays and guard. Eight young giris represented grass, and others the flowers. Recitals wore undertaken hv Captain Nicholson, who also acted as stage manager and director. There will be no charge for admission to-morrow night, but a collection will be taken up.'
