PAL?.!ERSTON SESSIONS. (Per Press Association.) Palmerston, May 27. In the Supreme Court true bill* -firere found against Andrew Wichnewsky for indecent assault, Henry Dennett escaping from custody, Douglas Munro and Edmund Baignent conspiring to defraud, Robert Russell assault, .John Duncan indecent assault. Mr Justice Chapman stated that tae district appeared to be particularlj tree from crime, on this occasion there being only five cases. Two sexual cases were the only really\ serious ones. Harry Dennett was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with bard labour, the sentence to be cumulative with one he is at present serving lor escaping from custody ill Taihapa. The case against Robert Russell, charged with having assaulted his wife so as to cause her actual bodilv barm, broke dow'ti'bn account of the wife declining to give evidenc< against tho accused. John Duncan was found guilty of indecently assaulting a girl six years of age at Hunterville. Sentence was deterred.
