LONDON MARKETS. (Received 13, 8,15 a.m.) London, May 12. Wheat.—An Australian cargo sold at 39s Gd. Peninsular Shares. —£19. Copra.—South Sea bags, £25 10s. Hemp, quiet. May-July shipments, £22 10s. Jute, May-June, £22. Cotton, May-June, 6.315 d. Rubber, 4s 7id. Newton King's Stratford Weekly Report. At my usual Haymarket sale on Saturday there was a large attendance, but only a moderate yarding of pigs came forward, the advertised number not coming to hand. I quote:—Slips and weaners, 4s to lis 6d; small stores, £1 Is to £1 4s Gd; medium porkers, £1 12s Gd; hacks and ponies, £4 4'S to £4 10s. Gigs and sundries at usual rates. At the Mart.—l had a fair entry of poultry, and prices ruling still show a continual rise on previous sales. Pullets, 3s 4d; hens, Is 4d to 2s 9d; roosters, Is lid to 2s Gd ; cabbage, 2s Gd sack ; pumpkins, 7s Gd sack; onions, l|d per lb, a large quantity of furniture and sundries selling well. Fruit: About 300 cases came to hand during the week, chiefly apples and pears. Prices realised as follows:—Apples, dessert, 2s Gd to 6s; cooking do., Is 9d ot Is 9d. Pears, dessert, 3s 6d to Gs Gd ; cooking do., 2s to 3s 3d, according to size of case and quality.
