The football season was opened yesterday by a practice match. There was only'a small attendance, and play was very ragged, due to players not being (it. As the matches commence next Thursday, it behoves players to go into active training, and with that end in view, the committee are arranging for a ball to he over at Victoria Park every evening at 5 o’clock. A walk to Midhirst and back on Tuesday night is also contemplated, and all desirous of participating are requested to roll up at the Post Office at 7.30 p.m.
