POULTRY SHOW.
Jn another few weeks, to be exact. July 3rd and Jth, Stratford is to be favoured by one of the best shows hold in the North Island. Not only will the North Island Championships bring to Stratford the best birds in the Dominion, but several new breeds will greatly attract attention. The secretary, while in Auckland at Easter, visited several of the poultry men, and was successful in getting considerable support. Great interest is also being manifested in the root crop exhibition, and farmers will ' find much to deeply interest them. Then comes the great “Baby Show.” Undoubtedly this will arouse tremendous interest. Splendid prizes (value from 10s upwayds) have been awarded this section. There are to be two sections—(l) chillrcn up to six months’ old; (2) children from six months to one year. Prizes will be allotted for the prettiest and the healthiest. Schedules can now be had from the secretary, who will also be pleased to give any further information to intending exhibitors.
