STRATFORD A. AND P. ASSOCIATION
THE GYMKHANA, The ro-openiiig of tho entry lists for tlio Gvmknana is being met with very liberal response, and an act:ve canvass is being jnade by members of the executive to ensure further entries ti'.at might not be made voluntarily. With increased entries in most of the events a magnificent programme will bo submitted to patrons next Thursday. Tho Easter holdidays being over, holiday makers who went out of the district to spend their holidays will nave returned, and no doubt will assist to swell tiie crowd at tho festival on 18tn hist. As tho course of events now appear to be shaping, the postponement of the meeting may in reality turn out to be a blessing in disguise, and it would not be unreasonable to expect even a better gate than could bo secured at Easter. However, tftere is one thing certain, and that is what is humanly possible will be done by the executive to make the fixture a great success, and provide for tho pleasure and comfort of those attending the sports. Tho programme ;s a long one, but if possible the management will put on a buck] limping event, and to that end will have at least one or two huckjumpers in attendance. The idea will lie to give a prize to anyone remaining in the saddle for a given time. Truly, the programme will be of a very varied order.
