DRAGGED BY A HORSE. (Per Press Association.l Napier, March 20. The seven-year-old daughter of •Tames Cargwell, owner of Loch Inver Station, was fatally kicked by a horse yesterday. Whilst riding the animal she slipped off and was dragged, receiving fatal injuries. A CHILD RUN OVER. ■- .Vnj 6.. DunedinI}'March 1 }'March 19. A fatal accident occurred at Port Chalmers shortly after 1 p.m. today, the victim being Martha Lockhart Mothers, aged five years. She and some other, children were returning to school at the conclusion of the dinner hour, when she was run over by ,a spring cart which was nroceeding slowly at the time. The child’s skull was fractured at the base ■md one arm appeared to be broken. Tt appears-’that when the child saw the horse and cart coming she retraced her steps and ran under, the horse’s feet.
