THE TERRITORIALS.
FAILING TO REGISTER,
Tho officers' school of .instruction class was held on Saturday evening, there being a good attendance. On Sunday after church those officer? who could not (get to their homes put in some time in 'working out a small tactical scheme, Liout.-Col. Ma : lone directing the tour. One does not need to go far to find the reason for the officers of the 11th Regiment excelling those of other (regiments in the recent examinations. Their keenness . is only equalled .by tho talent of the officers who are responsible for their training. Two Waitara youths will 'probably find themselves called on to show why they should not be punished for breaking the law of New Zealand in that they had failed t',' register. Some extraordinary statements are made rc their case, it being alleged that they have incited others not to attend parades, goffering to take all the burdens, financially and otherwise, on their own shoulders. It is also stated that they 7 are receiving financial and moral support from Christchurch, where the anti-militarists have lately attempted to burn down the barracks, and have placarded the city with posters denouncing the defence scheme.
