The coroner at Mnrruinlmrrah, in returning a verdict of incendiarism at an inquest on the lire which occurred on January 2nd, declared that ho could not make a committal. He could only say the buildings were wilfully set lire to. There had boon many such cases duv'ng the past year as a result of over-insurance. Another reason making it difficult to cope with was the sympathy shown by juries with the criminals.
