Athens, December 21. One Cretan deputy surreptitiously reached Athens but was reshipped to Crete Meanwhile a hubbub arose in Crete over the action of a French cruiser in stopping a Greek steamer with Cretan deputies aboard. Colonel Lapathiotis, for instigating a movement in the Cretan interest, was banished to Corfu for two months imprisonment.
