LX IMPORTANT INNOVATION • DECIDED ON.

MEETING OF THE EXECUTIVE

The executive committee of the Itratford A. and P. Association met ast night, when there were present: —Messrs R. Dingle (in the chair), R. Masters, G. Hobbs, S. Porritt, W. P. Kirkwood, G. Sangster, J. D. Healy, md F. E. Dobson. Autumn Horse Show. Mr Dingle said he had been in conversation with members of the execuive, and lie thought it would be a ;ood idea, as many of the farmers ad to leave the show ground before iie jumping events had been completd, to hold a sports competition, conisting principally of horse jumping, tockman’s events, and ladies and genlemen’s driving, the proceeds thererom to bo devoted to enlarging the numbers’ stand. After very favourable discussion Mr Masters moved in this_ direction, tho •ompetitions to be held in the autumn. Mr Kirkwood seconded the motion, vhich was carried unanimously. A committee was set up consisting >f M essrs Dingle, Malone, Kirkwood, )obson, and Hobbs, to bring down a programme of events. Horse-Box Doors. It was moved by Mr Porritt, and ;corded by Mr Hobbs, that the careiker be instructed to make the upper oors for horse-boxes facing the west. Caretaker's Holiday. The caretaker was granted a fortlight’s holiday.
