IN BANKRUPTCY.
RE J. W. FITZSIMMONS. A meeting mas to be held in the Official Assignee’s office this morning >f the creditors of J. W. Fitzsimmons, •utoher’s assistant, but nobody atended, except bankrupt and his solicior (Mr Stanford). Debtor attributed his inability to aeet his liabilities to having to pay nedical expenses incurred through the mg illness of his wife. During that leriod she developed scarlet fever, and ,e was quarantined by the authorities Tr seven weeks and not allowed to vork. Three years ago he was workig for a Waitara butcher, and was hen solvent. He had married on £2 month, and had continued to work in Waitara. During the last two months e was there lie had been out of emiloyment, which threw him further bound. Ho had been working for Mr Tunic, a Stratford butcher, for five nontlis at a salary of £2 2s per week. Tis creditors had pressed him, and he vas compelled to file. There were no secured creditors, and he unsecured creditors were all Waiira residents. Assets were mi, and he total liabilities £56 13s 3d.
