INDIGNANT TEACHERS.
THEY OBJECT TO IMPORTED OFFICIALS. WANT SOME “PLUMS.” (Received 19, 11.0 a.m.) Sydney, December 19. At the Teachers’ Conference there was a long debate resenting what was termed the plums of the Department going to imported officers. They' affirmed the principle that where practicable Australians should bo appointed to vacancies.
