STEAMER WRECKED.
STRIKES A REEF WHILE ENTER-
ING HARBOUR
THE CREW RESCUED
Sydney, December 16
TJ'.c coasting steamer ■ Brooklyn, while entering Crook Haven Heads, ran on a reef. A large hole was rent in her bottom by a lock which projected. She filled with water in a few minutes.
The crew was rescued ten hours later.
There is a hope that a portion of the cargo, which is chiefly Christmas goods, will bo saved.
