Lord Lannington, on behalf of the Persia Committee, appeals to Great Britain to maintain Persia’s integrity and independence, and not to al.ov; Persia io fall into the plight of Bokhara Khiva. Ho recalls the engagements of 1888 and the Convention of 1907. Great Britain’s acquiescence in Russia’s action had raised a serious' situation. National horinui and the interests of both were involved in the loss of Persian 'independence. It would produce a painful effect on the Mussulmans of India.;'
