WOMEN’S SUFFRAGE.
DEPUTATION DEMANDS A REFERENDUM.
BRITISH PREMIER AGREEABLE

A deputation from the National League, opposed to women’s suffrage, asked the Premier to submit the question to a referendum before legislating. The Premier stated that while he was opposed to a referendum, he thought in this instance it might bo satisfactorily used, because the nuestion would cut athwart all party linos.
