RIFLE SHOOTING.

On Thursday afternoon the Stratford range was the scene of a contest between the riflemen’s skill and the wind The first stage for Masters and Sons’ cup was tired at 200, 500, and 600yds. file wind was very unreliable, being gusty and at times a perfect fish-tail. The scores for the day are very good. Next week the first stage for the club championship will be fired >+, 3HQ an j 500yds. With the annual rifle meetings coming on, it behoves members to get all the practise they can. Tue following are,, the scores put up yesterday:—
