The Director of Military Training paid a visit to the Royal Military College, at Dumtroon, in 'the Federal territory, Australia, recently, and inspected the institution. The college is situated on the side of a low ridge overlooking a wide plain. In appearance the cadets are smart and sol-dier-like, and generally of good physique. The director' was given to understand that since the commencement of training in June last their physical development had improved very considerably. They certainly looked a healthy body of young men, and a credit to the institution. Each occupies a separate bedroom. The dining-room is large and airy. A wellappointed kitchen adjoins 'it. They work strenuously during the week, with a half-holiday on Saturdays.
