Pekin, December 11. The Minister for Finance sold £■loo,ooo sterling worth of palace treasures to foreign banks. The seals of tiie boxes show that they have been' unopened since the seventies, it is believed the treasure totals over £9,000,000. sufficient to pay China’s foreign obligations for several years.

REBELS HOLD THREE PASSES
Pekin, December 11
Despite the armistice, Imperialists are concentrating at Shansi, where fighting has commenced. Troop trains are leaving Shenkjachwan half-hour-ly. The rebels hold three passes, which are regarded as impregnable.
