TUMULTUOUS ENTHUSIASM

The Viceroy, governors, and members of the Executive Council and natives, welcomed their Majesties at Delhi station.

Troops lined the procession route to Delhi fort, where the duels received cheir Majesties. • Then they made the State entry at Delhi gate,* the King riding alone on a bay charger, and the Queen in a State carriage. The procession circled Jumanasjid, thence to Chandnichowk. Guns were booming throughout the day. At a pavilion on the ridge, Mr. J. L. Jenkins, on behalf of two hundred representatives of British India, presented an address before their Majesties entered the camp.

The King replied amid tumultuous enthusiasm, paying tributes to the valued experience of the members of tiie Legislative Council of British India’s chosen representatives.
