THE TERRITORIALS.

THE FIRST VOLUNTARY PARADE WELL ATTENDED. ■

A voluntary parade last night saw two-thirds of the Territorials of this town at the old Masonic Hall. At the Defence Office this morning SergeantMajor Dunham expressed his satisfaction at the large muster and at the keenness displayed by the youths. Not only did they perform the physical exercises with close attention to detail and a general desire to do the work thoroughly, but several lads had been \ practising at home, and more remained behind to ask questions of the instructor. Some thirty were measured for uniforms, and by January the Demrtment expects to have the local Force -equipped and have the parades in full swing.
